Michael A. Barker, FRICS, PQS

With more than 25 years of experience in the industry on projects of various sizes and stages of development, Michael Barker has gained a wealth of expertise and practical knowledge in all aspects of construction and development economics.

Mr. Barker has provided professional services and a full range of cost consulting and building economic advice to all construction industry stakeholders, all levels of government as well as financial institutions and legal and accounting firms. Michael has a deep knowledge of asset/project development cycles and the entire “cost equation” related to taking raw land to a project completion stage.

As Executive President Mr. Barker has been setting new strategic direction for Altus Group’s Cost division through growth in strategic long term capital planning and infrastructure initiatives. Michael also sits on the Altus Management Committee and the Altus Board of Trustees as a management member.
