Capital Project Management

Capital Project Management is a business process which controls the completion of a capital project by establishing the scope of activities, the corresponding timelines and of project milestones, tracking of costs against approved budgets and recording of physical completion of project milestones.

TCPS® Project Management and Program Management module can capture and efficiently organize information related to capital projects. Tasks and subtasks can contain as much detail and specialized content as any other object within TCPS® including ad- hoc tables as well as photos.

TCPS® also allows for integration Capital Program Management activities such as prioritization, condition assessment and scheduling with a Capital Project Management environment. It enables an organization to introduce a Capital Project into its management process, and reintegrate that project into the overall capital planning process upon completion.

In comparison to maintenance management, Capital Project Management is typically not transaction intensive, but often involves integration with purchasing and contract management modules. TCPS® can stand alone and provide this functionality or integrate with tools including Microsoft Project, Maximo, Primavera or SAP's PMS module.
